Important Fitment Note- please read before ordering

Dodge put 2 different styles of motors on these years of pickups.  The part in this listing is made by Trico , with the Trico part number 91498-169 stenciled on the motor housing, a 5 pin electrical connector and 2 mounting lugs.  The other style is made by Anco, which has a 4 wire connector and 1 mounting lug.  These two part numbers are not interchangeable, so please make sure this is the type you are replacing before ordering this part by comparing the pictures in this listing with the part you are replacingIf you aren't sure which one you need, please contact us and we will work with you to make sure we get you the right part.

Installation Note

To avoid possible damage to the wiper motor or your truck, you will want to make sure that the wiper linkage and the motor itself are both in the "parked" position prior to using the new wipers for the first time.  To do this, please take the following steps before installing the motor:

  1. Make sure the new motor is in the "parked" position.
    1. Before attaching the motor to the linkage that works the wipers, connect the wiring harness to the plug in the motor.  This can be done with the motor out  of the truck.
    2. Turn the wipers on, then off again.  This will ensure the motor is in the "parked" position.
  2. Make sure the wiper linkage is in the "parked" position.
    1. With the old motor disconnected from the wiper linkage, move the wiper linkage manually until the wipers are in the "parked" position (parallel to the bottom of the windshield).
    2. Note the position of the linkage components; you will want to make sure that you can position the linkage in the "parked" position when installing the motor.  A snapshot with the phone on your camera is a great way to do this.
  1. Test the alignment of the motor and wiper linkage.
    1. After installing the new motor, test alignment by turning the wipers on and off again to see where the wipers park.
    2. If the wipers are not parked in the position you want (parallel to the bottom of the windshield), remove the wiper arms and reinstall them with the wiper blades parked where you want them.  If necessary repeat this step until you have the wipers parked in the desired position.
